THE GREEN HIVE CEO TO SPEAK AT LACCD SUSTAINABLE COLLABORATIVE

Finally, A Place to Find Sustainable Building and Green Product Information

HERMOSA BEACH, CA (February 18, 2009) – The Green Hive , an integrated library, event center and marketplace designed to embrace, educate and promote sustainable architectural and construction practices today announced that CEO Kris D. Kimble will speak this week at the Los Angeles Community College District’s Sustainable Collaborative.

Kimble will deliver a brief overview covering the background behind why he and partners Kim Robinson and James Meyer are launching The Green Hive. Their concept: To offer a comprehensive local resource for “green” building and sustainability.

“Ultimately, we would like to serve every community with a sustainable business model that leads by example and serves as a HUB that can facilitate behavioral change in business, the design and building industries, cites/utilities/agencies, schools and ultimately right down to the residential level.” said Kimble.

Attendees will include LACCD trustee Mona Field, the organizer of the Sustainable Collaborative; Larry Eisenberg, the LACCD's executive director of Facilities Planning and Development, and other LACCD officials.
