Dear California Energy Commission,

Before businesses or consumers can seriously connect with sustainable options, they first need to experience what is possible.  To that end, I hope you’ll provide the funding needed to fuel Mr. Kimble’s efforts to expand The Green Hive in California and lead business and citizens to a more sustainable path.

We can’t rely on retail stores such as Home Depot to be the educational link for communities. We need a neutral location where business, academics and citizens alike can get ideas and education on a continual basis, a place that pushes us to do better, not just maintain what will sell under retail conditions.

Traditionally a conference or tradeshow would fill this roll, but they are yearly events and we need a resource that supplies daily education during these transitional times.

Based on my experience with manufacturers and in my role at the LACCD, Mr. Kimble ranks highly in terms of his passion, his dedication and his understanding of what it will take to bring a more sustainable future into reality today. We appreciate his vision for extending the conversation that began at the LACCD Source Point .
