Dear California Energy Commission,

As Director of Programs at Build It Green, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote healthy, energy efficient homes in California, I would like to lend my support towards creating green hive facilities throughout the state. We believe The Green Hive will be instrumental in providing a physical venue to help implement the three main objectives that guide our organization; driving policy development, increasing the amount of green homes and helping to stimulate consumer demand.

Build it Green has been a leader in developing programs and awareness that have made CA a role model for the nation in finding solutions to today’s environmental problems facing the built environment. The Green Hive shares these goals and will take large strides to further make these ideals a reality. They will help to spread our message to accelerate green building practices throughout the state.

The Green Hive is an exciting concept that I believe is necessary in today’s ever changing building landscape. I hope that the CEC will help to get this innovative idea off the ground as its immediate impact on the surrounding communities will be significant.
